Discord and Roadmap


I've added a Discord to field any discussion you might want to have. 

Going foward, some major goals (to be fleshed out soon) include:

1) An outer progression loop. Any roguelite worth its salt has this,  and I've planned to include it from the beginning, but wanted to fine tune the base game first. Orgone collection and achievements in the inner game will yield currency that can be used to buy upgrades to max stamina, starting orgone, and other perks. Additionally, this currency gain can be enhanced by adding ascension challenges.  All pretty standard, but critical for replay value. This will be introduced with a slight increase to the base game difficulty to make outer progression worthwhile from the beginning.

2) More premade NPCs: There are currently 6 early game random encounter NPCs and 3 late game random encounter NPCs, of which the player sees 2 of each in a full run. I'd like to have 10 of each for variety and replayability.  Additionally, there are 4 bounty NPCs. I'd like to increase this to 10 as well and allow the player to only have a subset available to them in a given playthrough. 

3) (Long term) Ideally, I'd like to replace the gelbooru API calls with animated 3D webGL scenes. This will require a pipeline to harvest and process 3D models, harvest animations (either AI mocap or premade animations), and marry the two in a way that is both automated and only somewhat janky. This is far outside my wheelhouse, so I'll need to do a bunch of experimentation before I have a clear idea of how and whether this is possible with my time constraints.
